At The Gunjur Project Lodge, we offer more than just a place to sleep; we provide a peaceful, welcoming space surrounded by nature, where guests can unwind, recharge, and feel truly at home.
With just 11 standard en-suite rooms and two larger family suites, our lodge is intimate, friendly, and full of character.
Set within vibrant tropical gardens and just a short walk from the beach, the lodge runs on a combination of solar power, mains electricity and a backup generator, ensuring a reliable and sustainable energy supply.
Our dedicated Gambian team, many of whom have been with us since the beginning, take pride in delivering genuine hospitality, daily room service, and a safe, calm environment for all.
While life at the lodge flows gently, from your morning coffee to your evening swim, there’s also a deeper sense of purpose, with ongoing community programmes running at our on-site Community Hub, supporting education, sustainability, and local livelihoods.

Absolutely wonderful time at the Project
Jenny Brendan Jo Butch Charlie and Lilly the dog made me feel more a member of the family than a guest. The staff were all amazing and friendly and always ready with a smile and a hello at any time of the day.
Totally spoilt with a wonderful choice of fresh food for every meal and the ice cold Jule Brew was a welcome relief from the heat. Evening entertainment provided was great Want to re-visit at some point
